Task 1 — Mô tả biểu đồ / quy trình / bản đồ

4 loại Task 1 phổ biến

📈 Line / Bar / Pie Chart
  • Mô tả xu hướng (trends), so sánh
  • Dùng: increased, declined, peaked, fluctuated
  • Thì: past simple hoặc present simple
🔄 Process Diagram
  • Mô tả các bước theo thứ tự
  • Dùng: passive voice, firstly/subsequently/finally
  • Không cần so sánh
🗺️ Map / Plan
  • Mô tả thay đổi địa lý theo thời gian
  • Dùng: was replaced by, was extended, to the north of
📊 Table
  • Chọn lọc data nổi bật, đừng liệt kê hết
  • Nhóm data theo pattern hoặc category

Template Task 1 (Line Graph)

Intro: The [chart type] illustrates [what] in [where] over the period [time range].
Overview: Overall, it is clear that [biggest trend 1], while [biggest trend 2].
Body 1: [Subject A] [verb+ed] from [X] to [Y] over [period]. It [peaked/reached a peak of] [Z] in [year]...
Body 2: In contrast, [subject B]... By [end year], [conclusion about comparison]...

Task 2 — Viết luận học thuật

5 loại essay

Discussion

"Discuss both views and give your opinion" — 2 body paragraphs (each view) + your opinion in intro/conclusion

Opinion / Argumentative

"Do you agree or disagree?" — chọn 1 position rõ ràng, argue 2 reasons + example

Problem & Solution

"What are the problems and what solutions can you suggest?" — 1 body problems, 1 body solutions

Advantages & Disadvantages

"Do advantages outweigh disadvantages?" — cần có clear position về overall judgment

Two-part Question

Hai câu hỏi riêng biệt — dành 1 body paragraph cho mỗi câu hỏi

Cấu trúc bài Band 7+

Intro (2–3 câu): Paraphrase đề bài → Thesis statement nêu rõ position + outline
Body 1 (100–120 từ): Topic sentence → Explanation → Example → Link back
Body 2 (100–120 từ): Topic sentence → Explanation → Example → Link back
Conclusion (2–3 câu): Restate position → Summary → (Recommendation/Prediction optional)
💡 Target: 270–290 từ. Dưới 250 từ bị trừ điểm nặng Task Achievement. Trên 350 từ tốt nếu quality cao.
